When I tell you this wasn’t an easy week… I mean it. My team was facing a 51.30-point deficit going into Monday night, but my Tacos Al Carbon rose to the challenge and scored 77.04 and beat Laneit’s TNU 243.20 to 217.46!
Tacos also claimed the second-highest point total in the league this week. Laneit’s TNU failed to live up to expectations and scored only 98.5% of a projected 220.66, while Tacos Al Carbon put up 17.5% more points than projected. For Laneit, Tony Romo and Alex Smith played the roles of Maverick and Goose, scoring 49.96 and 29.10 points, respectively. Despite two wins in a row, Tacos Al Carbon (2-3) remain mired in fifth place while TNU (2-3) stays in fourth place.
I would like to thank the following movies for my victory: Peyton Manning scored a league-high for the most points this season with 80.46 points. While Rob Gronkowski scored 17.00 points, the third-highest TE score of the week and the ninth-highest TE score in the league this season. And most importantly of all, I sat Tom Brady, who scored 38.48 points, fewer than any QB in the starting lineup.
Laneit however, did not start Golden Tate, who scored 35.40 points, surpassing his projected points by 339.8%, the second-highest percentage in the league. And according to Yahoo, Laneit lost because behind the wheel of the bold new Camry.
In the second matchup this week, Lacie’s casus04 picked up their third win in as many matchups when they beat the living crap out of Jim’s Dark12h8 258.18 to 187.90, recording the second-highest score of the season. Lacie has stunned team fans, the media, and her 3.5 million Twitter followers with her impressive coaching movies.
She’s climbed from third place to claim the top spot in the league since the beginning of the streak in Week 3. They’re doing it by scoring a lot of points and they own the highest overall point total in the league, averaging 217.89 points per matchup.
It was a crushing defeat for the defending league champion Jim who got zero points from Vernon Davis. The Titans defense didn’t do Jim any favors, and to add insult to injury, he only got 4.70 points from Trent Richardson. With the loss, the Duck Dynasty extra goes to 1-4 and stays put in sixth place.
The last matchup of week 5 featured Furiated taking on John’s first place team the Crusty Jugglers. Or should I say former first place team?
That’s right boys and girls, after a month as King of the Hill, John got knocked on his ass by Team Furiated (3-2) 227.78 to 192.02.Furiated got the third-highest player point total in the league this week from Drew Brees (53.24). He can also thank Greg Olsen for his 21.20 point performance. It was highest score for any TE this week. To celebrate their impressive win, Furiated added another week to his birthday celebration. After two weeks at the various Disney resorts, Furiated is now heading to Dollywood.
With this loss, Crusty Jugglers (3-2) scored 83.4% of their projected points, and has now failed to meet projections for four weeks running. Crusty Jugglers was led by the tag team of Aaron Rodgers, with 43.24 points, and Nick Foles, who scored 32.58. John did not take the loss well, and took it out on the waterboy and the team mascot. A hefty fine is likely headed his way.
