Gee, I wonder which movie is gonna win this weekend?
Let’ think back for a second. The first Avengers film set a domestic box-office record, opening with $207.4 million, becoming he first film to surpass $200 million in its debut weekend. Three years later, the first Avengers movie is the third highest grossing movie of all time with over $1.5 million worldwide. And it probably scared the Oreos outta James Cameron.
Well kids, get ready for Disney and Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Age of Ultron “to break more records in North American theaters this weekend. According to Fandango, presales for Age of Ultron are equal to presales for all previous Marvel films combined, while MovieTickets.com reports that advance sales are nearly four times greater than the first Avengers.
Regardless of the mixed reviews, Age of Ultron should open north of $210 million over the three days. Maybe higher since the movie opened Thursday night.
